We serve middle Tennessee.

The Nashville Squadron is located in Music City, Tennessee. Nothing is more relaxing than a day on one of Nashville's lakes or rivers!

Delight nature-lovers with a Blue Heron Cruise down the Cumberland River in Nashville. Bring your binoculars, as wildlife abounds on the forested banks.

Head down scenic Hwy. 70 for an equally scenic ride down the Harpeth River

You can also drive south to Henry Horton State Park. Canoeing the Duck River is easy with convenient canoe rentals off I-65.

Make it easy! Nashville Shores offers all kinds of floating:

  • Take Grandpa on a relaxing 45 minute Shoreliner Cruise, included with admission.
  • Tackle the kayak obstacle course in Nashville Shore's Kayak Cove.
  • Introduce the kids to old-fashioned paddleboats.
  • Rent jet skis or pontoon boats for exploring J. Percy Priest Lake.

Head 45 minutes west of Nashville to Mongomery Bell State Park's lakes. You can rent canoes, paddleboats, and jonboats for Lake Acorn, or launch your own boat on Lake Woodhaven. Bring the charcoal to one of Montgomery Bell's picnic sites, or enjoy the Inn's buffet with breathtaking water views.

Take the family to Marrowbone Lake, just 15 minutes north of Nashville near Joelton. Friends tell us this 60 acre stocked lake is Nashville's best kept water secret! Boat rentals are available.

We highly recommend purchasing the local guidebook, Paddling Around Nashville. Author Patty Schultz researched every floatable river and creek in Middle Tennessee, noting launch points, take-outs and other essentials. She describes 37 different paddling trips in the area. Paddling Around Nashville makes an IDEAL gift for the paddling enthusiast.

Other lakes to explore in Middle Tennessee:

  • Old Hickory Lake in Hendersonville and Lebanon
  • Center Hill Lake in Smithville
  • Cordell Hull Lake in Carthage
  • Tims Ford Lake in Winchester
  • Dale Hollow Lake in Celina

More information on these and other lakes is available via the Resources Tab.
